OK, WHO BROKE THE INTERNET..?

So I had all kinds of things I was going to blog about last night. But then, the internet was busted. At least the part that goes from my house to the school's network. I think it might be time to get DSL. Dial-up seems so, I dunno, War Games. I want a fat pipe.

So my new drink of choice, since running out of Creme de Cacao and Bailey's, which are essential to my Best Drink in the World (see previous blog on this topic), is called the Verona.

It is:

1 oz. Gin
1 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth (dry works ok, too)
Dash of Lemon Juice

Shake well with ice, serve on the rocks with maraschino cherries.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Uhhh.. I forget what else I had to say. So last night, I decided that I was 26 years old, and if I wanted to have graham crackers and milk for supper, then, by Gawd, that's what I was going to have. So I did.

Since I'm bored, I'ma go ahead and start an argument...henceforth:

I like Porno for Pyros better than I like Jane's Addiction..

I know, I know. 100% of musical buffs, rawk skawlers, etc, would say I'm insane. But, consider God's Good Urge. Seems to me this is one of the most underappreciated albums of the 90's. OK, so there are a few weaknesses (Porpoise Head, for instance), but the 1-2-3 punch of "100 Ways," "Tahitian Moon," and "Kimberly Austin" kicks more ass than Shawn Bayless. "Kimberly Austin" is the best ballad since...wait..I can't even think of a ballad I like better. Also, "Good God's/Urge!" is pretty great. When they added Mike Watt, it seems like they went from merely pretty good, to pretty way-far-out-there, in a good way.

So on the other side, I love Jane's, no doubt about it. However, they lose points for breaking up in the first place. "Maybe since we're the best band in the world right now..we should consider breaking up.." (By the way, can you believe that was like, 20 years ago?!). I realize there were spats between Farrell and Navarro, but still..I consider it a high crime unjustly perpetrated against rawk fans everywhere. Also, and even though it's not really their fault, I can no longer stand to hear even a few seconds of "Been Caught Stealin'."

So..fire away...

There..I blogged. Happy now..?
