In case some of you don't know, and actually do care, we're going to Idaho on Tuesday. To visit Abbie. Not the cat. The girl. We leave Tuesday morning. And will fly into the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area on Wednesday morning on a little Cessna. Be there about 5-6 days. Then fly out. Should be a great deal of awesomeness to be seen there. Pry not going to try fishing, since I don't feel like paying out the nose for an out of state license.

Apparently, I am now acclimated to Laramie weather. I was outside digging irrigation ditches in my garden for less than an hour, and the sweat was just rolling off me, and I figured...'Man! It must be like 96 degrees.' So I went inside to check out what the innernet says....82 degrees. Probably a whopping 7% humidity, too.

I can't ever move back to the midwest. I would be worm food within minutes.

For all kinds of ratings on all kinds of things (street signs, uses of potatoes, Superfriends characters, etc), look here. This one is actually cereal ratings. I like how they point out my favorite shortcoming of Cap'n Crunch, which is that, once you are finished, you feel like you just chewed up and ate a 4-pack of 60-watt light bulbs..

I think I need to do something like this..

One of my favorite album names of all time is File Under Easy Listening, Sugar's 1994 album.

Anther good name for an album would be Some call them Johnnycakes.

A good band name would be "Combat Monkeypox."

On my trip to Cody, Wyoming, last week, I discovered that you can now also buy Lemonade Mike & Ikes.

Not as good as Cherry Cola, in my opinion, but worth trying.

No Title

Something has given me a bad case of what doctors refer to as, 'the poops.'

I'll bet it was the Enchilada Tapatios from Corona Village. I think that "tapatios" means 'poop-like-a-goose' in Spanish. I'll defer to my Spanish-speaking friends for the definitive answer, because looking it up seems like trying.

I'm waiting for a get well card from Abbie the Cat.

OK. I'm obsessed. I think it's the Kaufman-esque ee cummingsness of that blog. I can't stop reading it. Especially the pirate parts.

I want to be a pirate. When I grow up.

Author's note: I apologize for the contents of this post. Anyways..I hope it wasn't the water at Crater Lake (not THE 'Crater Lake'), cuz that would mean my filter was a waste of $64.

Randomly, from Google keywords..

'Jamaican Pretty Girls' would make a good band name. Especially for an all-guy twangcore band from Illinois.

Apparently, Abbieetheh ckat is a dude.

I don't think it's possible..

..to overstate how much ass Abbie teh caat's blog kicks (creative spellings are hers).

is Blogout broken again?

Insomnia is stupid..

..the condition. Not the movie.

I would have thought that hiking 4 miles with a 25 lb. pack yesterday, not sleeping much last night, on account of the fact that rocks are freaking hard and not comfortable to sleep on, getting up at 5 am this morning, then hiking another 4 miles back, would have made me tired. Not so. My body is dumb.

Can anyone tell me..

..why 'alexthegirl.com' and 'Matrix Essays' are considered by Blogger to be 'Blogs of Note?'

Researchers recently conducted a poll¹ of users between the ages of 19-35 and found that 84% of them preferred this blog to either of the aforementioned.

1) I think this may be one of them there positive feedback mechanisms. They were like the first blogs, so they were 'blogs of note,' which meant people went to them more, made them more popular, thus solidifying their 'noteworthiness.'

2) You WILL NOT find enlightenment or the meaning of life if you unravel the mysteries of The Matrix. See previous statements¹ about The Star Wars Trilogy, Kung Fu, or even Star Trek.

¹This source is pretend.

I just don't get why I'm not as noteworthy as alexthegirl. I mean, I have a similar alter-ego (alexputsomethinginhispocket). I even know a mikethegirl. Maybe it's because I'm so lazy about grammar and punctuation and stuff. I suppose it could also be because alexthegirl is artistic and articulate, whereas I am merely dumb and misanthropic.
