BEARS AGAIN..
Two reasons why I like this story:
1) This bear had a plan. "OK, here's the deal: I'ma float across the moat on this log, see..then I'ma scale that wall. Once I'm on top, I'ma hop on that bike and it's bye-bye bear enclosure." That picture of the bear standing by the bike is AWESOME.
This bear should hook up with that other bear. You know the bear that drank 36 beers and then passed out in a campsite. My favorite part of that story is that the beer opened one Busch Light, drank it, went "Nah.." and then went for the Raineer. Animals are smarter than people.
2) It shows that even though BBC is about the only respectable online news service (excepting the World Socialist Website, (which seems to have a knack for breaking stories months before the major news services)), they still recognize the important stories when they see them.

Look here, John McCain, we all know the score. You're not fooling anyone. OK, maybe you are, but you're certainly not fooling me. You've offered embarassingly blandish support for W., in exchange for prominent support in the '08 primaries. Boy...won't this be exciting..McCain vs. Powell in the Battle of the Sellouts, '08.

In other news, has anyone seen my shoes? We're now entering Day 2 of the Great Missing Sneaker Scare of '04 (pronounced 'ought-four).

I think this post was less stupid sounding the first time I wrote it - when I went to publish, everything just went away. (BTW, this is really my first bad experience with Blogger)

The BBC's own internal audit produced evidence that their coverage of the Iraq war was too biased. Kudos to them for publishing their faults, though. If an internal audit produced evidence of Jayson Blair's fallacies, I doubt the publishers of the NYT would have shared with the world.
Oddly enough, the most even-handed coverage of world events is The Christian Science Monitor. People misunderstand the title, though.
Personally, I don't care about bias in what I read or hear. We can be smart enough to discern and read through the filters, right? I'ma blog about this right now.
